HumanistCelebrant Weddings

A Personal Alternative to Religious or Registrar Ceremonies

When it comes to weddings in England and Wales, most believe that there are only two options available to you – a religious wedding or a registrar wedding.

Many couples choose a religious wedding, even if they have no real belief, because it is simply the traditional thing to do and it looks nice on the photos. However, what if you could have the formal ritual of a religious ceremony but without the promises to a god that you don’t actually believe in?

If that is the case, then a humanist celebrant ceremony may just be for you.

A registrar wedding at a registry office or a licensed premises is normally the alternative to a religious ceremony. However, many find the impersonal nature of these ceremonies can be a bit cold, stale or even boring. Or you may want to have a bit more freedom of when, where and how you choose to be married than a registrar can legally allow. Also, it’s really nice to know the person who is going to be marrying you before your wedding day and that they know how to pronounce the important things like your names!

If that is the case, then a humanist celebrant ceremony may just be for you too!

Let me introduce you to option three – a personal, celebrant led ceremony at a time and place to suit your wishes.
